Toto Sword 13th C. (based on XIV model)
This sword from the collection of Royal Armours, England was found in a peat-bog in Northern Italy. The W-type pommel sword is dated c.1275-1325. The sword was found in a good condition with almost unblemished purple-black patina. On each side 7” or so below the cross is engraved a pair of concentric circles, in between which appear the letters TOTOTOTO. This motto is found quite often on the 13th and 14th century rings, meant as an affirmation of loyalty and fidelity.
The Toto Sword from Deepeeka has a blade of high carbon steel. The guard and pommel are steel and the grip is leather over wood. A leather rainguard chape on the guard completes the sword. The pommel is peened for durability.
Included is a wood-core scabbard which is wrapped in quality leather.
