The Viking Huscarl sword refers to a type of weapon commonly associated with Huscarls, who were elite warriors serving kings or nobles during the Viking Age and into the early medieval period in England and Scandinavia. The term "Huscarl" (or Housecarl) itself comes from Old Norse húskarl, meaning "house man" — a retainer or professional soldier.
